This is a brand new program and I’m excited to share my 21 Day Fix Extreme Results with you! I started the program on Monday, February 2nd so I am currently still in progress. But, I can share my 21 Day Fix Extreme Results so far and I’ll continue to update this post with the final photos.
Here are my “before” photos. I’ll be honest, in the past 2 years, I’ve slowly let 10 lbs creep on. You know, it’s easy to slip into bad habits. Like eating dessert or pizza too often. Having seconds with dinner when you don’t really need it. Eating off your kids plates.
So, the 21 Day Fix Extreme is the perfect program for me. It’s designed to really help you dial in your nutrition, do challenging workouts, and see what your body can really do in 21 days.
21 Day Fix Extreme Results – Nutrition Plan
A lot of people ask me how the 21 Day Fix Extreme differs from the regular 21 Day Fix. The main different is that there are no “zings” (aka Cheat Foods). The nutrition is really dialed in so that you are focused on healthy nutrition. Here’s the basic plan:
- Red Container – Lean and healthy proteins
- Yellow Container (My FAVORITE!) – Whole grains, Legumes, Starchy Veggies
- Green Container – Veggies
- Purple Container – Fruits
- Blue Container – Healthy fats
- Orange Container – Healthy fats (different list)
Most people stick with the basic program. However, there is a specific “Competition Plan.” With this plan, you’ll be eating 2 days on the Competition Plan followed by 1 day on the regular Extreme Plan.
With the Competition Plan, you’ll cut out some of the carbs (yellow) and all fruit (purple) and you’ll be eating MORE protein (red). You’ll also eat 8 times a day, ever two hours. So, for me, that meant that I was eating at 6am, 8am, 10am, Noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm.
I’ll be honest, the Competition Plan is tough. It takes a lot of planning and with the carb depletion, it can make you tired and sluggish. So, I only recommend this to those who are already really strong in their nutrition.
21 Day Fix Extreme Results – The Workouts
I’ve done a lot of Beachbody fitness programs in their entirety. I’ve done ChaLean Extreme, Focus T25, Body Beast, PiYo, 21 Day Fix, and P90x3. I actually think that the 21 Day Fix Extreme is my favorite in terms of the format of the workouts. In almost all of the workouts, you use weights or a resistance band. However, it’s not just old school “lifting”, you are getting your heart rate up and really getting the cardio effect as well.
For me, it’s that perfect combination of strength training and muscle building with cardio and fat burning. Maybe that’s why it’s so effective!
My 21 Day Fix Extreme Results so far…
In week 1, I was able to follow the program to a T and I also did two days with the “competition plan”. I also got in all 7 workouts. At the one week mark, I was down about 5 lbs. Some of that is water weight but overall, I feel like this is really effective. I can also see results in the mirror.
The best part about this program to me is that it is really getting me back on track! It’s reminding me that I don’t need to eat all of those “extras”, that I need to eat a better balance of foods, and that I can get back on track!
Stay tuned for more 21 Day Fix Extreme results…I’ll be sharing my transformation video as soon as it’s ready.
